Changes coming your way and not sure how to make it all work?

Let me help connect your money to your life

I look at your finances with a holistic perspective

I’m focused on helping couples and families in their 30’s & 40’s be intentional about their finances and moving toward what’s possible in life.

I look at all aspects in extensive detail to make sure I understand your financial needs. Additionally, I have an extensive network with resources and referrals in all areas of life that will fill in where I can’t help to make sure you are covered, including the traditional – attorneys and CPAs but also mortgage brokers, doulas, and more!

I am a fee-only Certified Financial Planner™ Professional. I took a fiduciary oath which means, I act in your best interest and don’t sell investment or insurance products. I focus on applying my years of experience in the financial industry to provide unbiased advice.

Like you, I have moved across the country, lived abroad, worked as a part-time student, switched careers, and juggled work, kids, and family responsibilities. All this with the overarching goal of waking up every day clear that I’m living and building a life that aligns with my values. I know where you’re coming from, I’ve been where you are, and I want to help.

At a minimum, a sound financial plan should take a comprehensive approach and include analysis of taxes, insurance, budgeting, investments, and estate planning.

At its best, however, financial planning goes beyond the numbers. It is my goal with every client to engage your mind and your heart fully. In our work together, I will provide an opportunity to clarify your values, understand your unique life goals and help chart a path to get there.

How I can help

3 types of services to better fit your needs

Ever wonder how much you need to have in case of an emergency? Do you want to have more clarity on where and how much you are spending each month? This service offering will show you and your partner how to be on the same page regarding your money and not stress about it.

Walk away with an understanding of your current situation and a roadmap for your future. This plan will address all areas of finance including – budgeting, home-buying decisions, employee benefits, career planning & salary negotiations, asset allocation & investing, insurance analysis, tax planning, estate planning, college savings, and planning for financial independence/retirement. I will also give you recommendations, a list of action items, and referral information if appropriate.

We will review the plan annually and adjust as things change (because they always do!). I will help you implement the action items that lead you to live the life that you envisioned. I will hold you accountable through check-in meetings and answer any questions that come up along the way.

I can also manage your investment accounts if you don’t want to; this is optional for ongoing comprehensive financial planning clients.

Meet Jessica Kirwin, CFP®, MBA

When my husband and I were looking for financial advice in our 30’s, we couldn’t find it. It seemed most advisors were serving wealthy retirees, and the “advisors” that were willing to meet with us were almost always selling a product.

This is why I started Kirwin Financial: to serve couples and families like mine. I’m a fee-only financial planner serving clients in the Seattle area and across the United States. We work together to identify what’s truly important, then think through the next five years, uncovering and proactively planning for your financial and non-financial goals. We work together to ensure your plan is flexible and provides you with the gift of possibilities: possibilities for meaningful work, spend more time with your family, take a sabbatical, and more.

With the day-to-day responsibilities of life, it can be challenging to carve out intentional time to dedicate to financial planning. But it’s crucial. You know that, or you wouldn’t be here.
